Since becoming a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in 2012, I have quickly gained a faithful following of clients that regularly seek relief from pregnancy-related symptoms, low back pain, sciatica, TMJ dysfunction, work-related stresses, as well as relaxation massage.
As an RMT, my therapeutic treatments are individually customized to focus on your specific needs and requirements, employing Swedish massage techniques enhanced with Eastern and Western massage philosophies. I apply these techniques in all of my treatment specialties in Pregnancy Massage, TMJ Dysfunction, Myofascial Release, Infant and Child Massage and Therapeutic Hot Stone to provide the relief that is needed to address the problem.
I gained my pregnancy massage certification while training in the High Risk Pregnancy Unit at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. In addition, I am certified in Infant and Child massage and often provide infant massage instruction to new mothers. Continuing along the path of perinatal massage, I hold a certificate as a Labour Support Person/Doula.
Most recently, I have completed the TMJ Mastery post-graduate certification, which focuses on treating the Temporo Mandibular Joint (the jaw), which is frequently the source of pain in many head, neck, face, and vocal conditions. This joint is often affected by the compression forces from clenching and grinding of your teeth, creating asymmetrical muscle tightness which can lead to clicking, pain, and ultimate damage to the joint. I specialize in working intra-orally to access and relieve the soft tissue and muscles of the Temporo Mandibular Joint.
Graduating as Class Valedictorian in 2012 from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, I have pursued my life-long dream of becoming a Registered Massage Therapist after a career as a customer service specialist. I am an active member of the CMTO and the RMTAO.
A travel addict by heart, I love to plan my next vacation with my family when I am not treating clients at my practice.
